Thrive With New Confidence Since 1924, Toastmasters International has transformed nearly eight million lives through a simple, yet powerful, mission: empowering individuals to become more effective communicators and leaders. What sets Toastmasters apart isn’t just what you learn--it’s how you learn it. Every meeting is a safe opportunity to: Practice both planned speeches and unplanned responses | Give and receive meaningful feedback | Step into leadership opportunities Gavel clubs are a way of providing the Toastmasters experience to groups who may be ineligible for regular membership due to age, or other circumstances. Following similar Toastmasters club meeting protocols, Gavel clubs use club officer titles and education manuals. However, gavel club members are referred to as “gaveliers”. Gavel clubs also provide Toastmasters members and clubs with an excellent opportunity for community service.
